{Monday Appreciation Post}
Many of you know I had a back injury after getting a low lumbar adjustment at the end of September. Basically, the chiro didn’t hear a crack and just went for the adjustment again leaving me unable to walk the next morning. I was sobbing and couldn’t even sit up for 5 minutes at the time. After asking for an MRI 6 weeks later, it revealed a disk herniation and I was told to see a neurosurgeon at one of the best clinics in the country here in TN. He came in and immediately offered up surgery and to fuse my spine (IN A 24 YEAR OLD?!?) … after multiple opinions that stated otherwise, I decided there had to be a better way and set up a call with @drseanpastuch / @activeliferx … he was confident they could help me get back on track and I was attending their coaching seminar that weekend so I was able to meet my coach (@raygormandpt ) in person.

The first couple weeks still we’re not fun. My pain was still a 8/10 at its worst, I could only sleep on my back with pillows underneath my legs, and I was traveling with a cupping set, lumbar pillow, and stim -along with having HIGH anxiety of waking up with a pain flare

However, my pain levels continued to go down and Ray constantly answered my texts regarding my anxiety of either a flare up or not ever getting back to where I was ….BUT I’m happy to report that my pain is at a 0-1/10 consistently, I can sleep in whatever position I please, and I’m not in pain wearing lead at work

@activeliferx helped me re-write my goals about 10 times as well. When I started, all I wanted to do was get back to competition and qualifiers ASAP. Now, I’m ready for 2019 to be a year focusing on work, moving well, moving often, adventures, relationships, and saying yes to more things…. AKA I’m ready to live, not just train, work, and eat ✌🏻… (but you might still catch me on the competition floor sometime in 8-12 months — maybe😉)

PS, I’m not sponsored by @activeliferx. This post was made out of pure happiness that I can move, shuffle, work, & sleep as I please without back pain— 11/10 recommend

“Thanks to @docbofit and @activeliferx I can honestly say I am able to be the father I want to be.”

“18.4 is done and I don’t know if I have ever been happier with an open result. 90 deadlifts always makes me nervous but this offseason has been so much about continuing to build strength and confidence in my back, and in myself and my hard work, which is a NEVER ENDING process as I’m sure all of you know. I finished this workout in ZERO pain. I mean none. 90 deadlifts later, under the time cap with being inverted and NO PAIN. Y’all, ANYTHING can be accomplished with smart, and hard work. I literally went outside and cried from happiness of not being in pain and in that moment realized how nervous I actually was for the workout. I KNOW y’all can relate and I promise you, you can do it. It’s not often for me anymore that I get a chance to have breakthroughs like this but today— today is a great day. @activeliferx”

“Hit a bench PR last week. Finished Bulletproof Shoulders the week before. Can’t tell you how much it means to me to hit a goal like that.”

“I really believe in what Active Life does and stands for. I am so grateful to be able to do pretty much anything without pain. You do great work and I’ve learned so much since deciding to become a 1 on 1 client.”

“Incredible! I did lateral step ups on Saturday at double the height with little pain and full depth kossacks without pain.”

“Just wanted to add to the list of satisfied clients from your Bulletproof programs. Deep into the ankle workouts and my back and hip pain is completely gone. Squatting deep was an issue for the past year and it is no longer.”

“Thank you for not giving up on me in my times of weakness. You’re more than just a coach. Thanks, Ray!”
